St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation and All-Pro Tour Team Up For 2020 Southwest Kansas Pro-Am

Dallas TX - October 1, 2019 - The All-Pro Tour is pleased to announce that it has signed a three-year agreement with St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation beginning in June of 2020. The partnership is designed to continue and grow one of the longest-running tournaments in the country, the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am . The tournament will feature a new format and an earlier date in 2020.

“It is with great excitement that we are moving forward to secure the future of the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am by joining forces with the Adams Golf Tour. With this merger, there will be many changes necessary, not the least of which will be a new date in early June. One of the many highlights will be a full field of quality golf professionals joining us in our two-day Pro-Am. We are looking forward to the future and what the Pro-Am can become as we continue to build on this past year's record donation to St Catherine and the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. As the saying goes... Failure is not fatal but failure to change can be. We are looking forward to everyone joining us as we take this next big step,” said Kent Colvin, tournament founder and SWKS Pro-Am Board member

The 36th Southwest Kansas Pro-Am will be held June 8-13, 2020, with a more traditional PGA-style schedule of events, including an early week pro-am and a 72-hole championship finishing on Saturday, June 13. Tour officials expect over 132 of the best PGA Tour hopefuls from as far away as Australia, England, and South America to compete in the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am . The pro tournament will boast an estimated $130,000 purse, with the champion taking home $25,000. Proceeds of the Pro-Am event will benefit St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation.

“We are excited to be working with St Catherine Hospital again at the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am. The tournament has such a rich history and is played on two of the best courses in Kansas. We expect the tournament to have one of the strongest fields of the year with the new date and format,” said Gary DeSerrano, President of All-Pro Tour. What started as a golf tournament with the mission to bring professional golf to southwest Kansas and allow amateurs to play with pros, has turned into a great tournament with a HEART for babies! The SWKS Pro-Am benefits the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at St. Catherine Hospital, and for the last 40 years has raised over $1M for this very worthy cause. The babies of western Kansas deserve the best care, and supporting the SWKS Pro-Am makes that happen. These funds provide necessary dollars to maintain a high level of care and education required for an NICU. The volunteers, participants, and sponsors are truly assisting St. Catherine Hospital in making sure each baby born in southwest Kansas has a healthy start! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact St. Catherine Hospital Development Foundation Stewardship Coordinator Paige Kraus at 620-272-2376 or [email protected].
