About Babac Vahabzadeh, MD

Dr. Babac Vahabzadeh enrolled in the 6-year combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After completing the program, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he completed his internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Vahabzadeh then proceeded to obtain specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He also received an additional year of advanced endoscopic training including treatment of pancreatico-biliary disease as well as Barrett's esophagus and esophageal cancer at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. As a result, Dr. Vahabzadeh's special interest is in the treatment of diseases involving the pancreas, biliary system as well as Barrett's esophagus but is passionate about general gastroenterology and endoscopy.
